About the CCA Program
Ready to begin your successful career in healthcare? Become a certified CCA in less than 6 months! Join our 26-week Continuing Care Assistant Certificate program where you will develop the academic knowledge and valuable on-the-job skills to thrive as a qualified CCA.
When you join our program, you will receive the highest-quality instruction through experts in the field (either CCAs or RNs) that provide valuable first-hand experience from their careers as practicing healthcare professionals. As you build your academic knowledge, you will apply your knowledge and practice the basics in our very own CCA lab.
You will also participate in guaranteed Clinical & Mentorship placements where you get the support and guidance needed as you develop your on-the-job skills in real healthcare facilities (homes for the aged, nursing homes, home care, and other approved facilities). During your placement experiences, you will not only develop the key attributes needed to be a successful CCA, but you will also learn how to develop meaningful connections with colleagues and patients.
Preparation for the CCA Certification Exam
Upon program graduation, it is required for all students to complete the CCA provincial certification exam. During our program, you will receive thorough preparation to help build your confidence, knowledge, and skills to succeed.
Available Scholarships
Domestic Students
The Government of Nova Scotia is currently offering FREE TUITION* for qualified Continuing Care Assistant programs (OICC Halifax campus included). That means you can begin your career journey to becoming a CCA for FREE*.
*Free tuition scholarship is offered through the Government of Nova Scotia. Students who are interested will work with Oxford International to apply. Applicable for Canadian citizens and permanent residents only. Students are required to pay $200 towards the program uniform on the first day of class. There may be additional scholarships available for those students who don't qualify for free tuition.
International Students
Scholarships of up to $5, 500 are available for all international students.
Plus, all enrolled students are eligible for a free laptop!
Common Career Paths Upon Graduation
CCAs are in demand in Nova Scotia. In fact, 80% of long-term care facilities are running short of necessary staffing, meaning there are a variety of openings! As a CCA program graduate, you have a few different options when it comes to deciding on your desired career path:
- Continuing Care Assistant (CCA)
- Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Home Support Worker
- Personal Support Worker
Or you can even leverage our program as a stepping stone to moving into Nursing school and becoming a Registered Nurse.

About the ECE Programs
Get started on your Early Childhood Education journey and learn how to help young children thrive! Become a qualified Level 2 ECE in under 1 year! Join our 50-week Early Childhood Education In-Person Diploma program or 60-week Early Childhood Education Hybrid Diploma program where you will develop the academic knowledge and valuable on-the-job skills to learn how to make a meaningful impact.
When you join our programs, you will receive the highest-quality instruction through experts in the field (qualified ECEs) that provide valuable first-hand experience from their careers as practicing early childhood educators. As you build your academic knowledge, you will apply your knowledge in our very own Early Childhood Education classroom.
You will also participate in 4 practicum placements where you learn how to observe, plan activities, and positively interact with children of varied ages in real childcare settings. During your practicum experiences, you will not only develop the key attributes needed to be a successful Early Childhood Educator, you will also learn how to apply early childhood theory to everyday activities and tasks. Upon graduation, you will be a qualified Level 2 ECE!
Available Bursaries & Scholarships
Domestic Students
Get up to $8,000 off your tuition! We are offering domestic students guaranteed $3,000 scholarships which can be combined with the Government of Nova Scotia's bursaries of up to $5,000!*
*Bursary is offered through the Government of Nova Scotia. Students who are interested will work with Oxford International Career Colleges to apply. Applicable for residents of Nova Scotia.
International Students
Scholarships of up to $7,850 are available for all international students.
Plus, all enrolled students are eligible for a free laptop!

As an ECE program graduate, you have a few different options when it comes to deciding on your desired career path:
- Early Childhood Educator (Level 2)
- Inclusion Coordinator
- Day-Home Consultant
- Assistant Director / Director of ECE Programs
You can leverage our program as a stepping stone towards becoming a Level 3 ECE or if you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you can open your own registered at-home daycare recognized by the Government of Nova Scotia!
